You can discontinue, in a single request, the domains and networks (subnets/IPs, switch ports) managed and operated by your organization.
Important Notes
Resources processed based on a discontinuation request will also have their management rights relinquished. Please note that, once a discontinuation request has been processed, the affected resources can no longer be used.
If the resources become necessary again in the future, whether new network resources will be allocated is decided based on the rules in effect at the time of consultation, the stated reason for the request, and the management/operational status of each unit. Please note that you may not necessarily be able to use the same unit domain or subnet again.
If you wish to change any domain you are using, the building or number of ports in use, the designated liaison, or similar, please submit a change application from the respective form instead.
Discontinuing a Subdomain
For example, if you discontinue subdomain.titech.ac.jp, email addresses/mailing lists using @subdomain.titech.ac.jp and websites using xxx.subdomain.titech.ac.jp will no longer be usable.
Discontinuing a Subnet
If you discontinue a subnet (a block of IP addresses), communication for the IP addresses contained in that subnet becomes impossible.
For example, if multiple laboratories and servers were set up within a subnet "A," two-way communication for those laboratories and servers becomes impossible.
Depending on your environment, a subnet may be statically assigned to a router or server, with internal addresses such as 192.x.x. used behind it. If the underlying subnet is discontinued, communication will be cut off, so before discontinuation please thoroughly inform and confirm within your organization.
