Registered Information

Information provided at the time of AP installation is registered in our database (DB) and used for website listings and inquiries. When changes to the registered information occur, the responsible administrative group must notify us without delay.

If we determine that there are obstacles to management and operations—such as no notification being made, or no response due to vacating premises or relocation—we may decline further requests or support thereafter. Please be aware of this.

Note: The information displayed and registered in the Campus Wireless LAN system is not synchronized with the Building Information Viewing System.
These are entirely different systems/services operated by a separate department, so each must be updated independently.

About Changes to Registered Information

Changes to the Managing Organization and Responsible Administrative Group

If you wish to change the managing organization for an AP installation location, please ensure that agreement has been reached on all of the following:

  1. Handover of installation materials such as floor plans and photographs
  2. On-site verification by personnel (room side / rack side)
  3. Response by the managing organization during outages, transitions, etc.

Once coordination and agreement are complete, the responsible administrative group should contact us. We accept notification from either the previous or new organization, but please ensure that both administrative groups are included (including in CC) and that the items listed below are described.

Please use the email address used at your central administration office (@adm.isct.ac.jp) as your contact address.

Format Example

Format: Campus name, Building name, Floor, Room name (Room number), AP name

Current: Room managing organization, Administrative group name, Email address

New: Room managing organization, Administrative group name, Email address

Changes to Room Name (Room Number)

When a room name (room number) is changed due to renovation, change of use, or similar reasons, the responsible administrative group should contact us with the following details. The descriptions within Access Areas will then be updated. (No updates are made unless requested by the responsible administrative group.)

About the Responsible Administrative Group

What we ask of the responsible administrative group is to disseminate information and coordinate within each organization. Please carry out the actual work through internal coordination within your organization.

  • The NOC has no intention of designating the responsible administrative group or the person being contacted to perform the actual work.
  • The information displayed and registered in the Campus Wireless LAN system is not synchronized with the Building Information Viewing System.
    These are different services operated by a separate department, so each must be updated independently.

Not only when equipment is relocated or removed, but also when the managing organization or responsible administrative group is changed or transferred, please notify us in advance. Without notification, the responsible administrative group on record will not be updated.

Even when the managing organization has changed, if we are not notified, we will continue to contact the administrative group provided at the time of installation. The registered administrative group is asked to forward our communications or relay requests as appropriate.
